David Bezina of Rosetta Type foundry was here at our studio to speak about his work and what Rosetta aims to do. I find their work interesting because of the fact that they work on multi script typography, which is increasingly in demand.
I was in awe of the research and and the amount of work that is put into type design, especially a of a language which is foreign to you. It did bring back memories of the Typography classes by Mahendra Patel, at IICD. Sadly I haven’t heard of many Indian type designers apart from Mahendra Patel and the Aksharaya studio.
